Christmas Holiday – Municipal Service Changes

The Christmas holidays will be here shortly and there are a few changes to municipal services during the Christmas to New Years stretch.

Administrative Services provided at the Township Office will be closed as of noon on Monday December 24th, 2018.  We look forward to serving you at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday January 2nd, 2019.

Waste and Recycling will be impacted with Tuesday’s schedule being moved ahead one day to Monday December 24th and Monday December 31st.  All other waste and recycling days will not be impacted.  Please refer to the Waste and Recycling calendar on the Township’s website for more information.  All waste and recycling must be out by 7 a.m. on the day of pick up.

On January 7th, 2019 the Township will be picking up Christmas trees at the curb.  Please do not place the tree in a bag and remove all tinsel and decorations.  Leave your tree out until it gets picked up.

Additional Public Skating hours will be available at the North Stormont Arena as follows:

2019 Municipal Grants & Contributions Program

Do you have a community event, community project or program within the Township of North Stormont?  You may be eligible to apply to the Township to receive monetary support!

In 2015 the Township of North Stormont passed a Municipal Grants and Contributions policy to help streamline all requests for financial support for community groups, service clubs and recreation associations during the annual budget process.  Grants are subject to Council approval.

The Township is now accepting grant and in-kind service applications for the 2019 budget year.  The deadline to submit an application is Wednesday October 31st, 2018.  Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.
