Recent samples collected from the drinking water systems serving the villages of Finch and Moose Creek contained elevated levels of sodium.

Provincial Regulations require the operator/owner of a drinking water system to notify the Medical Officer of Health should sodium levels be higher than 20 milligrams of sodium per litre of water.

Finch

Samples collected on January 9th, 2017 indicated a level of 93.3 mg/L.  An additional sample on January 16th, 2017 resulted in a level of 90.6 mg/L.

Moose Creek

Samples collected on January 9th, 2017 indicated a level of 34.0 mg/L.  An additional sample on January 16th resulted in a level of 32.3 mg/L.

For more information on the sodium levels, please see the attached notice.  A notice will be sent out in the water and sewer bills to all residents on the municipal drinking water system.
