The City of Cornwall is undertaking a review of their Ten Year Housing Plan, which includes the United Counties of SDG. The review will help determine how effectively the plan is responding to housing and homelessness needs of the community.
Housing stakeholders and the broader community are invited to participate in a survey. The information collected will help evaluate the direction of the plan and improve outcomes for people experiencing homelessness or affordable housing challenges.
The survey will remain open until April 18th, 2019. All information gathered will be considered confidential, will only be used to inform the plan review process and will not be shared with any other person, group or organization.
In 2014 the City of Cornwall created a 10 year plan to address issues of housing and homelessness in the City of Cornwall and the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry. The 10 year plan documented who lives in the service areas as well as the housing and homelessness challenges they face. It also looked at solutions to address these challenges, identifying what actions made the most sense given the priority needs and set out 10 key strategies to address housing and homelessness issues.
