The Township of North Stormont employs an Economic Development Officer who works to promote business and economic development within the Township. In addition, the Township works with the United Counties of SDG, the Small Business Enterprise Center, Community Futures and other not-for-profit organizations to help businesses start up, grow and succeed. Economic Development Strategic Plan
The Township is in the process of developing an Economic Development Strategic Plan. The intent of the plan is to help drive economic development and priority action points to implement within the Community. The Strategic Plan is currently under development and will be available once it has received Council approval.

Community Improvement Plan
The Township of North Stormont approved its first Community Improvement Plan on February 12th, 2019. The Township will announce the first intake date shortly.
A Community Improvement Plan is a financial municipal tool that municipalities can use to assist in the redevelopment and improvement of commercial businesses. The Community Improvement Plan sets out programs and strategies for improving the built, economic and social environment in designated areas.
