Open Air Burning
For rules and regulations surrounding property owners' ability to have open air fires, please read the Open Air Burning By-law 53-2018. This by-law establishes the rules and regulations for property owners to have open air fires. In order to have an open air fire on your property, you must obtain a permit from the Township. Recreational fires that are under 1 square metre do not require an Open Air Permit, however are still required to meet setbacks as established in the By-law.
