CRYSLER, Ontario - It's nearly time to welcome Santa to Crysler!
Organizers will bring the Crysler Parade of Lights to you. Residents can stay home if they are on the designated route or gather at a main intersection where the parade is going to travel. Please do not block designated routes with parked cars.
For out-of-town residents, organizers recommend finding a parking area where the parade will travel such as the church parking lot, empty lot at Charles & Bridge streets or the school yard. Please do not block driveways or access for emergency vehicles at any point.
The parade takes place Dec. 15, begining at 6:30 p.m. See full details below.
Parade Route
Attention float leaders:
- Safety: You are responsible to track your float participants and make sure your float is safe for participants to be on board. Neither the organizers of the event, nor the Municipality of North Stormont are responsible for any injuries that might occur.
- If using a generator, please ensure proper ventilation and exhaust is used.
- Distribution of candies is permitted, where possible. Have people walking beside your float to hand out candies instead of throwing from the float to:
- Reduce waste;
- Sweets attract wildlife and wrappers could cause a potential harm to family pets or wildlife;
- Avoid injuries to the crowd from thrown candies.
- Route: Floats must always follow the designated route (see map below).
- Start at Crysler Community Centre and end at Home Hardware.
- To avoid traffic congestion and risks, you will be asked to turn around at Home Hardware only, this is NOT a takedown area.
