BERWICK Ont. – At its meeting Oct. 9, the council for the Township of North Stormont voted to change the time at which its meetings will start.
Effective Oct. 22, 2024 council meetings will begin at 6 p.m. This is a small change from the 6:30 p.m. start time council followed in the past.
The move will augment efficiencies at township hall, allowing for greater engagement between staff and council, while being respectful of time and schedules.
“Council agrees that now is an appropriate time to consider a change for the start of council meetings,” said Mayor François Landry. “Residents are encouraged to be active members of the governing process in our township. We will welcome members of the public in-person to our meetings at township hall, as well as online, at our new start time of 6 p.m.”
