How to apply for a Marriage License?
You can apply for a marriage license in-person at the Town Hall. Please note, you must make an appointment to have your license issued. Please call Town Hall to request an appointment. If you do not make an appointment, we cannot guarantee the availability of a license issuer.
Marriage licenses can be issued no more than ninety (90) days in advance of your intended date of marriage. You may download the Marriage License form by clicking on the links below. These forms can also be acquired in person at Town Hall. At least one of the two individuals getting married must submit the application in person.
The fee for a marriage license is $150.00 (payable by cash, cheque or interac).
Who can marry us?
A religious marriage can be performed by a member of a recognized religious organization authorized to perform marriages in Ontario under the Marriage Act.
A civil marriage ceremony can be performed by a Justice of the Peace, Municipal Clerk or their Designate appointed as Marriage Commissioner.
