FINCH, Ontario - The Township of North Stormont would like to congratulate the Finch Recreation volunteers for successfully securing an Ontario Trillium Foundation funding grant in the amount of $200,000.
The grant is for phase 1 of the new Finch park project.
Trillium funding is a competitive process and the township's dedicated Finch Recreation team, supported by our grant match contracted partners, authored the successful submission.
This project will transform a historically underutilized municipal asset and provide improved, accessible, outdoor physical fitness/activities space for all North Stormont ratepayers and visitors.
Currently, the Village of Finch has limited outdoor public venues and the new park, inclusive of assets for both physical and mental stimulation, will rejuvenate the current venue. This additional park space will enhance, and complement, the existing ball diamond facility immediately adjacent to this area.
